It is very important to have a clear understanding of the terms Medicare A and B. Also known as Medicare Part A and Part B. Part A and B work together to make up Original Medicare. Part A is at no cost to the recipient and covers the cost of inpatient hospital-related services, such as hospice or home healthcare. Medicare Part B has a monthly premium and covers outpatient services, such as doctor visits, lab tests, and routine preventative care.
